The Thai- Ayurvedic Connection

Thai Yoga Massage, rooted in Ayurvedic medicine and its related discipline of Ayurvedic theory, has had a long history as a healing practice. There is a need to adjust each client's therapy based on their primary Dosha constitution, as well as the changing conditions of her or his energies, emotional state and capacities.
 
This unique class brings together the knowledge of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage techniques with the concepts of Ayurvedic medicine, for determining individualize treatment plans and options.
 
We will explore the foundations of Ayurvedic theory and medicine, as well as each Dosha- Vata, Kapha and Pitta.  Specific techniques and instruction will be given for each Dosha, which will greatly enhance your ability to customize Thai Massage therapies for each unique client.

In this course, students will enhance their Basic Traditional Thai Massage routine in a supportive, relaxed setting and pace. Over the course of the class, demonstrations and ample practice time allow the student to receive one-on-one instruction and review time.  Students will be introduced to deeper Thai theory and history, new positions and postures, and gain a better understanding for treatment plans.

This is the one for you! 
 
In this course, students will learn the Basic Traditional Thai Massage routine in a supportive, relaxed setting and pace. Over the course of the class, demonstrations and ample practice time allow the student to receive one-on-one instruction and review time.  Students will be instructed on proper body mechanics on the floor mat, Thai philosophy, Sen line energy work and palpation skills, and Thai culture and history.  Supine, prone, side lying, and seated positions are presented and an in-depth rhythmic routine is learned.  
 
 
 
 
Thai Herbal Class

6 CE Hours, $135 (includes materials)
 
In this exciting class, we will explore the art of Thai Herbology, spending time learning about the benefits of Thai herbal compresses and liniments on the body. It is one of the most interesting Thai Traditional Massage procedures. Thai hot herbs will stimulate a better circulation of blood, and is good for relieving muscle inflammation, pain, bruising, tiredness and cramps.
 
This is a really fun day of connecting with the herbal side of traditional Thai medicine, and a great adjunct therapy to add to your existing practice.
